The B-Town is flooded with films this year, each soaring high to
catch the viewers’ attention, but interestingly it is also the year of
women ruling the screens. The second half of the year will witness films
showcasing the women leads.Be it Kareena’s biggie “Heroine”, Sri Devi’s “English Vinglish”, Preity Zinta’s “Ishkq in Paris”, Rani Mukherji’s “Aiyya” also Bipasha in “Raaz 3″,
Farah Khan’s “Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi”, Chitrangada Singh, all
are arriving with their respective individual flicks, Bollywood is all
set to witness a new era all together.
August is set to witness two much awaited debuts of hot-bod model, Sunny Leone in Jism 2,
and director-producer turned actor, Farah Khan in Shirin Farhad Ki Toh
Nikal Padi. The screens are set to be blazed with Jism 2 and with
Farah’s sweet romantic full throttle role. Giving them competition is
Chitrangada Singh with her “Kaam-The Unofficial Story” releasing on the
same date as Farah’s debut from the Sanjay Leela Bhansali Production.
Vikram Bhatt is promising a well-packaged flick, Raaz 3 with Bipasha Basu sharing screen-space with Emraan Hashmi, here comes another bomb awaiting to be exploded at the Box Office.
Then
comes September with Madhur Bhandarkar’s magnum opus, “Heroine”, which
will present Kareena in a role never seen before and that would send
shocks down the spine of the viewers.It also stars Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hooda revolving around the life of a film actress, Mahi Arora.
Sri
Devi after ruling the box office in her career span, is all set to make
her comeback with “English Vinglish” which is a expected to be a
bitter-sweet comedy, and would bring Sri Devi on the same front as the
other heroines in B-Town currently.
Pretty Doll, Preity Zinta is
even in the comeback mode and is all geared up to present tough
competition to her on-screen allies, in the form of “Ishkq in
Paris” directed by Prem Soni has its official first look launched on the
Internet.
The
release date for Heroine,English Vinglish and Ishkq in Paris is set and
is September 21, marking the clash of Kareena, Sri Devi and Preity
Zinta, fighting virtually for seeking more attention and box office
collections. Shirish Kunder’s Joker got shifted to Sep 14, hence Madhur further shifted the release date of Heroine to Sep 21.
Rani
Mukherji has “Aiyya” in her kitty, but is a silent spectator for the
time-being. Aiyya is also rumored to release in September.
So
2012, is the year ruled by women and its setting the beginning of the
era where women are ruling the tinsel town in the forefront. Hail Women!
