Kareena and Katrina ruling the B Town

Both the hottest heartthrobs of Bollywood Kareena Kapoor and Katrin Kaif seem to have a huge number of projects lined up. If you haven’t noticed closely almost every big budget film today has either of the hotties cast in a lead role.
Watch back merely a year down and you will see the platform shared by other bolly beauties like Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kangna Ranaut and Deepika Padukone. These names still continue to rule the hearts of people but can no longer be considered the Queen B’s.
Both the actresses are leading the industry right from the top and their success rate makes them a popular choice of any production house. The recent successes they have delivered have rendered profits as high as a 100 crores. There is no doubt that the two will be a popular choice for quite some time to go.
Kareena on one hand is all pumped up by the success stories like “Bodyguard’, ‘Golmaal 3’ and ‘3 Idiots’ Katrina’s item number ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ seems to be on every lip. Her recent movies ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ were also very successful at the box-office.
Their future projects are all lined up with the Khans and there is no telling how successful these actresses will be when coupled with the Khans.  The producers seem to be taking a strong liking in casting these celebs with the Khans. Upcoming movies like Shah Rukh Khan’s’ Ra One’, Aamir Khan’s ‘Dhuaan’ and ‘Dhoom 3’, Salman Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Agent Vinod’ and Imran Khan’s ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ have huge expectations from these two bolly queens.
Now the question remains who is giving these two bolly queens the real competition. The answer would have been quite an easy one had this question been asked a year back. Priyanka Chopra with the immense success of ‘Fashion’ and ‘Dostana’ was almost on the verge of being the Queen B.  However bad luck followed soon with disasters like ‘What’s your Rashee?’, ‘Pyaar Impossible’, ‘Anjaana Anjaali’, and ‘7 Khoon Maaf’. These movies all sank dragging a sky level star to the ground.  One cannot deny that she still poses a lethal threat to the other celebrities coz of her superb looks and talent. Much is expected from the upcoming releases like ‘Don 2’, ‘Agneepath’, ‘Barfee’, and ‘Teri Meri Kahani’.
Vidya Balan also seems to be back in the game with the amazing response she has been getting for the upcoming ‘The Dirty Picture’. Freshers like Asin who had huge openings like ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Ready’ also can pose claims to the title of the Queen B. Others like Sonam Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka Sharma, and Deepika Padukone have a long way to go. They don’t pose any immediate threat to Katrina or Kareena but might climb up soon.
