A staunch reality again brought to the upfront by Prakash Jha, in his next multi-starrer venture “Chakravyuh: A war you cannot escape” which stars Arjun Rampal, Abhay Deol, Om Puri,Manoj Bajpai, Esha Gupta and Anjali Patil. Arjun plays SP Adil Khan and opposite him stars Esha Gupta, as his wife in addition to being an IPS Officer. Abhay’s character is of Kabir, and Manoj Bajpayee dons the Naxalite avatar, playing a Naxalite.
Prakash Jha and his films have always been encircled by controversies and this one is also going to be surely up for one. The story centers around two best buddies Adil-Kabir (Arjun-Abhay) and Adil is posted at Nandighat, post a massacre in which 84 policemen were slaughtered. And the script is based on Naxals, which levels up gravity of the issue.
Already, after the trailer hitting the web, Chakhravyuh has raised eyebrows and in turn many serious and unavoidable questions. An issue not many know of, but those who know about swear to have seen deaths before their eyes every passing second.
Arjun Rampal, looks smashingly sexy and hot in the moustache he dons, and impresses all by his new This is the second film after Rajneeti for which Arjun has teamed up with Prakash Jha.
Abhay’s role as a mole, planted by his friend Adil (Arjun), in the naxalites’ gang, who later double crosses his friend, brings out the best in him. This is his first association with Prakash Jha, and he had also undergone a week long workshop with Prakash to develop a better understanding of his character.Om Puri and Kabir Bedi are also playing pivotal roles in the movie.
Slated to release on 24th Oct,2012, the film has fumigated apt interest and leveled up the curiosity levels for the movie.
