You wondering whats the “Rush” about? Aha! Its the new flick in town starring Serial Kisser Emraan Hashmi,bombshell Neha Dhupia, Sagarika Ghatge and playing a baddie, Aditya Pancholi.The treat from Emraan on Bakra-Eid this year for his fans, is scheduled to release on 26th October, 2012, and is directed by late Shamin Desai, and completed by his wife Priyanka Desai,after Shamin’s death.
Emraan will don the character of an serious, honest,investigative journalist, Sam Grover, working under the banner of a top news channel. The storyline progresses around media and crime.His talk show is at the pinnacle of success, but his personal life takes a turns after he accepts an assignment offered by a dynamic media tycoon.Beneath the veil of glamour, money, power and the enviable life of media, lays a truth that is at once unbelievable and shocking.
Rush started production in 2010 with the title of 24×7 Raftaar. But after the death of director Shamin Desai, the film was shelved. In October 2011, Desai’s wife Priyanka took the film in her hands and the title was changed to Play. While filming began in Goa again the title was changed to Rush during April 2012. The film is now in its final stages, and is scheduled to release on 26th October this year.
Priyanka Thakran, creative director of the movie, says, “Sam (played by Emraan) is morally strong, with no grey shades, always ready to take a stand. He’s someone people look up to.”
The music department is handled by Pritam. In the past we have seen the Pritam-Emraan combo have delivered great hits at the silverscreen, and with this one up it will surely be something interesting.
After bang bang for Jannat 2 and no bang for Shanghai, Emraam’s next is Raaz 3 . Rush would follow Raaz 3. Lets see how much banging Emraan manages to do for the two flicks up his sleeve.
